Our Architectural Approach

We are an architecture firm with versatile consulting expertise as architects (MAA) and client advisors in various sectors, including private villas, vacation homes, schools, offices, retail spaces, urban environments, furniture design, building assessments, environmental approvals, and local planning regulations.

With 25+ years of architectural experience, we have worked across most areas of the construction industry and possess a high level of professional competence as lead project architects.
Additionally, we have specialist expertise in prefabricated construction and building acoustics.

Our architectural approach is structured as follows:

  1. The site’s qualities, conditions, and local regulations determine approximately 50% of a project.
  2. The client’s needs and wishes generate around 40% of a project.
  3. The remaining 10% is shaped by the architect’s creative input, completing both the architecture and the project.

Core Competencies of an MAA-Certified Architect

An architect designs buildings where aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability are key elements. They combine creativity with technical expertise to create buildings that are both visually appealing and practical. Architects often collaborate with engineers to ensure compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.

An architect’s responsibilities range from conceptual design to detailed aspects such as material selection, interior design, and structural planning. They take into account user needs and the surrounding environment to ensure a harmonious integration into the landscape or urban setting.

Additionally, architects often oversee the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that the project is executed according to plan.

An Architectural Process

Are you planning to build a school, office, villa, vacation home, extension, or another architect-designed building?
Here is the process:

1. Needs Assessment

You meet with the architect to discuss your wishes, needs, and budget. The architect inspects the site to evaluate possibilities and challenges.

2. Concept Design

Based on preliminary studies, the architect creates initial sketches, which can be adjusted until the desired design is finalized.

3. Detailed Design

Once the concept is approved, the architect develops detailed drawings and material selections. This includes construction drawings and possible sustainability solutions.

4. Building Permit

The architect applies for a building permit and ensures that the project complies with legal and regulatory requirements. For larger projects, a local development plan may be required, which can take approximately one year to process.

5. Bidding & Contractor Selection

The architect assists in obtaining bids and selecting a contractor to ensure the project stays within budget and employs qualified professionals.

6. Construction Phase

The architect oversees the construction process, coordinating with the contractor to maintain high quality and resolve unexpected challenges.

7. Completion & Move-In

The architect and contractor conduct a final inspection and address any deficiencies. After this, you are ready to move in.

8. Follow-Up Service

We also offer follow-up support and assistance with future adjustments.

The entire process typically takes a few months to over a year, depending on the complexity of the project.

Client Advisory Services

As client advisors, we represent the client throughout the construction process, ensuring that the project meets budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

Typical Process:

1. Initial Phase

We clarify the needs and budget, develop a project strategy, and create a financial overview.

2. Project Team Selection

We assist in selecting and negotiating contracts with architects, engineers, and contractors.

3. Design & Planning

We ensure quality, compliance with client requirements, and obtain necessary authority approvals.

4. Construction Phase

We manage construction oversight, financial control, and risk management.

5. Project Handover

We conduct a final inspection, compile a deficiency list, and ensure proper document transfer.

6. Post-Completion Support

We provide follow-up and operational support as needed.

We ensure a smooth and secure construction process with a focus on quality, schedule, and budget.
